They are ashtrays that mount in accessory glove box doors for 1950-52 Beetles. Example-

Yes, my new car doesn't have one. Where do I keep my spare change? Smile

In fact, it has two "lighter" sockets with a dire warning about actually using a real lighter in them. Apparently the sockets are made of plastic that can't take the heat!

My best find so far is a radio with the one year only 1967 knobs. It may not be that rare but it really looks good in my dash.

Not sure how rare this is, except that its NOS. Dehne thermometer style fuel gauge for 61 beetle.

I have had this for over 20 years, it was sort of an impulse buy at the time but I am glad to have it now.
