Just bought my first buggy and am wondering about any shops or independents that do VW buggy work around the South Broward areas of Florida? I do not know the first thing about VW or buggies.
I am planning on having a front and rear bumper installed, some wiper arms and blades, a pair of 3 point seat belts and getting an oil change and inspection done.
I know we have McNab Foreign Auto in Pompano Beach but was wondering if there are any others?
Thanks |

Hi clarkshome,
I found this club (OG VDUBS) that appears to be based out of the Ft. Lauderdale area, by using the link at the top-center of these pages. Go to Community, Clubs, and then choose Florida for additional club listings in the state. Some of these clubs may have been disbanded for one reason or the other, so it's best to be patient with the listed information. Hopefully the club listed below can help steer you in the right direction for air cooled VW-specific repairs. Best of luck.
Name OG VDUBS
Location Ft. Lauderdale
Description We are a family friendly air-cooled VW group that meet the last Sunday at 6pm. We meet at Sonic @8188 W Commercial Blvd Lauderhill Florida 33351. Drive it, drag it, Bring it! We are also branching out to other states.

There used to be a shop in Miami called Wizards. Not sure if they are still around or not. You might need to do some research.
There is a large VW scene in south Florida. "Wide 5 Vintage VW Club" is the biggest club down there. They might have a website or Facebook page. Hook up with them and they can point you to a good shop. _________________ www.LoCashRacing.org

If you actually drive your VW, you need www.AirMapp.com
My boss told me I need to work on my mutli-tasking. So now when I use the bathroom at work I surf The Samba on my iPhone. |
