Need Help- Identifying Unknown Part

Fell out of my engine compartment while working on the throttle body assembly and also removal and install of the distributor.
Can anyone shed some light on what it is and where it goes.
I believe it might have something to do with the ignition system, since it has a cooper plate on the bottom and shows signs of contact with something.

No need to respond, I've located where the part goes. It is used on the bottom door plate @ the motor area to prevent vibration of the door when closed.Problem solved.

FWIW, what year van are we talking about? Around the engine hatch cover...???

I've got nothing like that on my '86...
