I don't think that's a stock beam. But I like it Very Happy A little extreme on the rear, how wide are those steelies?

It's not mine. But a friends. It is stock beam. He takes pride in having a super low stock beam bug. I believe 8 in the rear. Those are bus rims in the front. Only adjusters and dropped spindle in front

so i found a person who had a bug this model, stock beam, bus rims, drop spindles and adjusters, had to take it back apart and narrow the beam because the fenders were sitting on the tires, so this is a narrowed beam in this picture. physics never lie....

I can guarantee this is a stock beam. this is babyblue60's bug. builders never lie.

I want to see a tape measure picture measuring the beam. Guess I lived in the show me state for too long.

This worked for me. Not a bit of rub, even with aggressive driving.

77 beetle

dropped spindles(lowers 2.5 inch) with drum

one rear outer

The KYB Gas-a-Just front(raises 1 inch) and rear(raises a bit ?)

155/80/15 all four

EMPI Sprintstar
Wheel Width: 5 in.
Backspacing: 3.98 in.
Offset: +25 mm

Nice mild raked look, they way I like it. It rides, drives and handles great. I hope these reference pics helps some other owners/builders.

does anyone know this guy or bug? Im having an issue fitting my 2 Liter wheels on my 1970 bug...with drop spindles only, stock beam. the lower ball joint is pretty much inside the wheel and ALMOST touching it. I have 195/65/15 but i already know i have to change those out. But do these come in different offsets? they are the empi 2 Liters. How do i get them away from the lower ball joint? and what size tire should I run?
