Anyone know where I can get a Magnetic tissue dispenser? Was an accessory back in the day. |

Wow...and I thought I had to shell out a lot for an ashtray to keep my quarters handy. At those prices I would hope that it can also wipe my nose while I'm driving. |

Yes, they are expensive sometimes.
Since this is not a super hard part to find, it often pays to wait and find one for a fair price.
Example: I recently saw one for much less than all of the ads listed above. |
Was a reproduction ever made?

I believe so but I don't know the details.
I believe I heard the size is a little bit different too _________________ How to Post Photos

I tried to look this up and it looks like the originals are thinner with a single sliding bracket on top:
Reproduction are sort of fat with 2 magnetic brackets on top:
Another photos of a matching one that is non-VW:

I've been watching and waiting for one of these gems to pop up somewhere for a decent price. I ran across this one for a really great price, and although it is not VW specific, it is still kinda neat and represents the 60's era.
Does anyone have any idea what this star-like diamond shape represents? I can't think of an auto maker that is tied to this symbol, but maybe so?

I just acquired a generic never-been-used Kleenex dispenser.
I was made by Gantner Industries, Morton Grove, Illinois. It sure looks identical to the VW dispenser, except this one has "engine turned" decoration on the removable cover instead of the VW logo.
Close enough for me at a much lower price (under 40 bucks).
