I'm on the road and staying the night in Seattle and am having problems with my generator pulley. I need to get a new one tomorrow if possible. Anyone know where I can find one in the Seattle area. I can drive now but need to change it asap. Thanks for any help.
Working off the phone....

Thanks a lot, I'll make some calls in the morning. My pulley is wallowing out where the shaft comes through. Seems both the front and back half. This is a new generator and this is the longest trip it's been on. Not sure what's going on but the front pulley is just about round where the generator shaft comes through it. It should have the two straight sides to it. I'm not sure how much longer this will last. I don't have the proper cast iron rear half, it's an after market one. 🙁

Not having any luck getting the proper one so far. One place sells an aftermarket one like I have on it now but those seem to suck.
Anyone within a hour of Seattle have an old one laying around? I'd even buy a whole used generator if I had to.
Appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

Try Jerry at northwest connecting rod. He sometimes hangs out there on weekends and he's been running behind lately. So there's a chance he's there today. You'd have to call like before 11

Are you for sure that the Busco doesn't have one? That would surprise me.

Ok. I'll call NW connecting rod. I spoke to Ken and he doesn't have it. It's a one year cast part that seems to be hard to find. Thanks for the suggestions!

try to get a hold of Bus Daddy. He is on the other side of the border 120 miles N of Seattle. He might be able to arrange to get one to you if he has one.

Also try Avery's in Kelso about 2 hours south of you. They close at 2:00 today. Someone in your area has been running a WTB ad for one for a month now so you may be following in their footsteps. Bus-OK in Europe has new old stock ones for around $55 but you would have to wait for the shipping to get to you in a week or so.

Haha he must love the fact that people know he's hiding out there on Saturdays now. Glad you got it sorted! Jerry is a pretty cool salty dude.

Sorry for the miss spellings and grammar on that last one. Not good working from the phone. Yes, Jerry was awesome! I knew I was at the right place as soon as I met him. It's working well now. The pulley was grinding on the generator case and kept getting loose. I now have a spacer washer that's keeping the pulley away. It seems to be just fine now. I was in for a breakdown soon though. I called Jerry first and he said come on down. Real lucky this worked out. Thanks!!!
