Hi. Agreed on the other peoples comments. But please recognize the documented importance the by-pass oil filters perform on the diesel big rig trucks. This is one reason those engines obtain such high mileage engine life. Take aa small amount of oil and filter it finer.
On my '71 bus, 1600, I run a popular setup with the 1 1/2qt sump and full flow filter. BUT, I added a by-pass Baldwin B164 filter. The outlet from this filter is about 1/32" diameter.
