SamboSamba22,
Let me know if you save it. I'd love to hear if there is a happy ending. Seems almost too good to be true, but hopefully you or someone else can snag it and give it some TLC. _________________ 1977 Westfalia "Happy"

Stumbled across this middle seat on a website I frequent. It's an auction site, so I can't tell where it will land, but it isn't a car site, so on occasion there are some deals to be had. After a few days, it's still at $1. No affiliation with the site. Seat is in Randallstown, MD. Just thought I'd pass it along...

Opinions on this bus. I'm in Houston Tx and there's not a huge selection. I like the red and patina. I doubt I go get it but I'd like to get price input. Is it a fair price for what it is? And the front looks crushed some. Is that an easy fix?

The cheaper you can get it for the better of course. I wouldn't offer more than 3k for it.
It looks like a teenager got ahold of it. A new nose is not an easy fix. The rear wheel wells have been cut too. Tin roof headliner, there's no telling how many holes they drilled in it. Everything looks like it was done cheaply so I'd expect anything mods/work to have to be redone. _________________ "A rolling bus gathers no rust." |

If it can run and drive, it looks like there is probably enough there to be worth the asking price. But don't hesitate to haggle a little.
Look closely for extensive rust underneath. Wisconsin is tough on old VW's, as is Minnesota. _________________ nothing |

Recently bitten by the camper van bug. Noticed this bay window Westfalia nearby. I'd like to take a look. What should i look for and thoughts on the asking price?

Sounds like it's complete and probably in pretty good shape. I'd be checking the normal spots for rust under the front floorboards, battery tray, etc.
I can't comment on the price. I've owned mine since 1996 :p
Looks like a nice clean and original Camper. _________________ ~Kevin

He shows no pictures of the engine. Why? And, what is that black thing forward of the left tail light?

72 Westy on Craigslist in MD / PA.
The body looks in decent shape, but you'd have to do something about that '84 Jetta motor that has been installed:

The first one is nice and it has been for sale for 8 months to a year. The second one has been listed for almost as long. Wouldn't pay more than $1200 for it. Probably no more than $1k to be honest. |
