so, just messed with this for a while, all the wires are correct to the tail light assemblies, but, when i hit brake, the turn signal light is brake light. The running lights, turn signal, flashers are all correct, but the brake light lights where turn signal bulb is. Where do i even BEGIN to troubleshoot this? thanks in advance for any advice.

Nope. Something is either misconnected there or at the T3 connector in the engine compartment.

One way to troubleshoot when all else fails is to remove all bulbs in those circuits, then add them back one by one, and see which wire/bulb causes the problem when added. At least it narrows your search. |

I remember a thread a while back where the elements IN the new bulb were crossed... |
Which has absolutely nothing to do with this situation, since the rear signals on a 67 use single filament bulbs.
Make sure that the wires have not been reversed at the T3 connector as mentioned above. |

thank you for all the replies, going to see about that T3 connector. It definitely seems like something is flipped.

so, just went to connectors, and now the only thing that lights differnetly is the drivers side brake light. Top bulb illuminats when should be bottom. |

Keep at the wiring, they are swapped still. |
