Curious to see if anyone extends dehne gauge cables? I got a restored gauge and sending unit in a trade, and after setting everything up, the cable is about 2-3 inches to short to connect to the sending unit
Any help would be awesome
Justin

A million years ago I had a dehne gauge in a '60 vert- but with the different tank it reached just fine. I recall it reminded me more of a bicycle-type jacket than the GHE ones from later year cars. Perhaps the oldest bike shop in your town could help? I'm guessing cabling from a variety of 50-60s era bikes would come closer than anything in the universal 70s-up years.

I have a Dehne gauge for the 58-60 models. The cable measures 40 inches - that is from the ball that connects to the sender to the metal barrel right behind the gauge. I tried to get a photo, but the light wasn't very good. Will see if I can get a better picture over the weekend.

Sorry for the delay. My sender and cable is quite a bit different from yours, here is my sender unit:

and cable:

the end of the cable that attaches to the sender has ball clasp, rather than barrel clasp shown in your picture.

More pictures are posted in the accessory sticky at top of this page.

I agree with hitest that a bike shop might be able to help you.
