Install help please:MK2 brake line holders, rear disc brakes

Does anyone know the proper installation for those funky brake line holders that are used on Late 80's Jetta rear disc brakes? They are the part that holds the rubber brake line where it joins the solid line. I think there supposed to keep you from ripping your brake lines out. Grilling calipers, 1989 Jetta Carat.

I can get em on but they feel like they will leave me at the first railroad crossing.
