The poor bus has been sitting off the road for quite a few years and I'm looking to get a set of new headlights for it. Is there a difference between bug and bus lights? All of the websites that I look at list them as fitting either. Has anyone purchased and liked any particular ones? Thanks in advance! |

Bus headlights have a small drain hole drilled on the lower curve of the ring which allows water to drain out. It is also necessary to reinstall the headlight bulb index ring and mount to compensate for the 90 degree turn of the bulb so that it will be oriented correctly. Otherwise, the light would shine up/down instead of right/left. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

The drain holes are oriented different as well as the thing that orients the sealed beam in the inside housing as Beetles sit with the securing screw down and busses sit with the securing screw like cross-eyed. Bus even have left and right drain hole outer ring orientation with aiming screws placements interfacing. Don't panic. You can buy Beetle ones and turn the inner bulb ring and drill the drain hole for busses if you have to. |
