squeaky slider windows against screen

How I hate that squeaky sound each time I open or close the sliding windows on slider door and by the sink . I see that the glass surface is rubbing against the inside vertical edge of the screen. How does one eliminate this sound? file down that edge a little so that there's a very small gap between it and the glass surface?

Oh, and then there is the window channel slider that often wears out. a nice Sambatisa is making replacements search classifieds or see one of the vendors.

Hi,

You mean rubbing on the bug screen leading edge? If so try gluing on a strip of fleece to the ledge behind the leading edge. I did that to stop no see ums from getting into the van between the leading edge and the glass. Has the added benefit if a soft sliding surface.
