Sooo im installing my autocraft B pillar but im already noticing big problems. The pillar is nearly 1/16" less wide than the original.. Fits against the dog leg great but comes up short on cargo door side. It might not seem like much but its more than enough to make door sit crooked. Also, the hinge hole is 1/4" to high. Old b pillar measures 1 3/8", the new one 1 5/16"

Anyone have this problem with the autocraft replacement? Does the klassicfab replacement fit better? (All their other parts have).

Had similar width problem with "A" pillar when using post-1963 OG donor welded to pre-1963 body.

About half way down page 2:

As for the hinge being 1/4" off, that is no good!

Mine fit fine, I think it was Estriguaru, but their floor/rocker was the biggest POS I ever used. Pics and thread here:

I wonder if there were manufacturing dimensional differences in busses produced over the years? The AC panels I bought all fit fine, the Gerson, not so much.

Almost every piece would have had at least two press dies for production. As each press die was used there would be wear. Once so much wear had occurred the die would be pulled out of production for repair or a new set of pieces would be made from a master mold for dimensions.
