Edit: posted before I saw your post Everett...think I know the 23 you mean, we discussed it here...nice bus.
*************************
I dunno...I see some nice original desirable buses at very fair money for what they are (I just don't have it at that level)....like the 23...and some steals down low that usually go pretty quickly....
...but also a whole boatload of the same-old that never sell from the same flippers/dealers not because they're reasonable, just over-priced by any index you care to use, ....you can set your clock by these popping up every couple of months, year in an year out...like some sort of weird atomic-clock.
...plus some 'the mind-boggles' in the Uk atm for rot-boxes...
...compared to previous years I'd same prices n the real world *have* gone down...or to put it another way, not gone up at the usual rate...
my mango, for instance, is not worth what it was 1 -2 years ago I'm fairly sure...I'll probably find out soon enough, which is why I was having a survey look.... |

I have the perfect middle seat for that set.
Now this guy has a nice bus but the ladder is goofed, I warned him and showed him the correct way to mount it but whatever.

How's that working for you? Did he say thanks?
Could you show us how to install that ladder on that rack? _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

it won't rip the rack apart until someone actually tries to climb up it.
check the fit of the 3-spoke steering wheel to the early turn signal switch:

OMFG... You guys... Ha ha..
The guy must want it gone. The bus is barely out of the shop and he posts trailer pictures. One at a gas station for crying out loud.

He just said "I know, I just stuck it up there". I showed him this pic of the westy rack with a ladder attached the way it should be attached. Weather it is original or not I can't say, some say it is some say it isn't. I just wanted him to make sure the feet were put against the belt line and the tire so no dents get pushed into the bus.

Might be that I'm looking at my phone, so I don't see it, but does the rack on the blue bus even have the bar the ladder in your pic is hanging from?
I had a bus with a stub where the needle had broken off the gas guage. It was actually fine to see......but I would not have installed it in a just painted bus.
Funny that the ad has trailer pics. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

I'm no expert, but I wonder if that's really a split bus cabinet. Yes, there is not sink, but there is a hole in the top that looks like it's for a vent pipe--something found on later bay cabinets--and the brace for the missing side table doesn't appear to be correct. Also, the cabinet is mounted in a bay bus and the fit of the side panel against the bulkhead looks to be for a bench seat rather than a walk-through. Perhaps the owner replaced the entire top from a different year cabinet as the water pump doesn't look correct either.
Experts, please chime in as the above is only a guess. |

Looks like a 65 bench seat bus icebox to me. That water spout is the earlier style and the hole in the top is where you fill your water tank and is missing the top cover.
Absolutely not worth that much in my opinion........at least not yet like Greg says. But who knows what people are willing to pay for that last item they need. |

The UK is really churning them out at the moment....since when did this sort of rot-box suddenly leap from being 5-6k, to this sort of money? ('no time soon' is probably the answer).

Speaking of Brazilian buses, remember the good old days (last month) when they were priced far lower than an equivalent German bus? What the heck is going on here?

Maybe some people prefer paying that much for a solid Brazilian bus vs a rusty German one?? _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

On the second one I think you could find a nice(r) German 15-Window for that kind of money - $71,000
$71,000 is probably "change your mind" money to a lot of people who say they won't sell. _________________ How to Post Photos
