71' 411 Parts Needed

Hello,

I'm new to the samba so forgive me if I come off as a newb. I'm looking for parts for my 71' 411. I have been having issues replacing a leaky windshield seal and an air filter hose. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to find parts. I just looked on type4.org and most of the listings are obsolete now.

There is a classified section in thesamba too so check that first. Unfortunately both of the parts you are missing are hard to find.
If the air filter hose isn't totally gone you can try to repair it with volcanazing tape or some rubber-like sealant like Sikaflex.
Window seals are available from Dutch type 4 club but i cannot find a link to the specific site at the moment. I'ts been mentioned in several places recently but i just can't find it...

I think you can modify the bus windsheild seal to work

hi,,you can see some pict,in the samba pict,, i have modified the type2 -73 window seal for my 412 wagon 73,, it was 3" more long, but i cut that for the 412 ,,and we put rubber glue,,for to seal the joint,, fault of noting,

I got full set of window seals from keverspecialists, wasn't cheap but looks good. Haven't replaced anything yet, though.
