What distributor?
Many used cut nails and some used hollow rivets. _________________ Glenn

I have an 019 and a 010. While I understand that the 010 is more appropriate for an Okrasa engine, I've read reports that people where able to get more HP at the dyno using a milder 009 distributor. I'll end up using the one that works best.

All Bosch cast iron distributors used for VW's and most if not all other distributors of the time period used the same nails or rivets and they can be carefully removed from a core and used on another distributor. Personally I like the look of the nails better but the hollow rivets are more appropriate for the 010, 019. _________________ Roads Scholar &

Most of the 019 and 010 use nails. The Porsche VJ4BR18 and 022 tend to use rivets.
No one will ever say "that's not correct" since all came with both. _________________ Glenn
