I tried to load a video of the first drive to Photobucket, over 10 times, but it would not load. All I can get you is picts from the roll out.
there is still one spot in the paint I am not happy with and I will make one more attempt to get the metallic to lay correctly. after that is wax and final assembly |

I am real careful about what time of day I make noise LOL. I am now a month past the promise due date for my rear window chrome at the second chrome shop. Are There are no shops do what they say anymore? This is frustrating. |

These are the original hubcaps and lentze beauty rings with a little metal polish by hand. I also repainted the black VW emblem.

Hillbilly White Walls just to see what it would look like
painted back side of bumpers Satin Silver
Hung the rear bumper. Just need to adjust and tighten down. Looks like it is fitting pretty good so I guess I welded the rear end together pretty close to correct |

Could not find the skinny upper panel chrome new so I picked up a lot of bits and spent 7 days fixing what I could find.
Door panels in place

Got the front bumper on. Took all day, for some reason it did not fit like it did before I sent it to the chrome shop, but I got it.
This is what the horns look like all nestled in their nest.
Next is the Non flashing hazard warning light and reverse light. |

I installed the rear blinds today. Took a lot of trial and error trimming. I will probably fine tune a bit but I like them.
Here I am using my home made toe in tool to set front alignment.
Got a few other things done, will get picts up soon. |

Wow, she's looking mighty fine!
I'm running 2 1/4 Coker WW radial's and even though they do the job, I'll always miss my hillbilly whites! I had Port-a-wall's/bias plies on one of my cars and nothing but Coker whitewall bias plies comes close to them in the looks department. I wish somebody made a wider whitewall. |

If you read above I have had a lot of trouble trying to find a good chrome shop. I have three pieces of chrome at another shop right now hopefully it'll work this time. If this app works out then I have more parts I have to get really chromed again. |
