They do have an event on Saturday, but will be done by 6 or so. You are welcome to come in anytime Saturday. If you are just camping out in the field, then you will not have any problem getting to that spot. If you are going to vend or show, you will have to wait until those guys from the event leave to get into your spot.
We will be there mid afternoon, so we will be getting folks into their spots as soon as the track event is over.
There is no charge for you to come in and camp. We will just be collecting gate/swap fees for Sunday's event that Saturday evening. _________________ Kathy Jacobs

Camping & pre-show info for Saturday Oct 15th.
The track does have an event that day. They open the gates at 10:30am. See the photo for all the details. Just let them know that you are coming for the VW event and they will let you in.
If you are camping in the back field, you will be able to go ahead and park and get setup since there is nothing happening back there. If you are a vendor or show car participant, you will have to wait until the racers have left before you can get in your spot. I would suggest later in the afternoon so the racers will be leaving and you can get in your spot and start setting up. If you are unsure where to park, just ask. We will be there that afternoon and will make sure everyone is where they need to be. Many of you have been numerous times, so you know where to go.
We will go around that evening and collect for Sunday's event.
If you have any questions, please let us know and share this with your friends.

Are you ready for this Sunday?
Show registration is still open, so be sure to get yours in online via our link below.
http://www.kandlmotorsports.com/showform.htm
Classes are found here.
http://www.kandlmotorsports.com/farm/showclasses.htm
Special prizes for show car participants, Autometer gift certificates, Stoner's car care kit, CASH & more.
These will be given away just before show car awards. Must be present to win.
We are in need of your help with the show area. Would like to speed up the judging process, we all know that and we are not happy that it takes longer then expected. But we can't solve this without your help. So if you can spare an hour or so, and have a good knowledge of a VW air or water, please consider
helping us out. Send us a private message or respond here. You will receive an event shirt for your time.

We keep getting some questions about this weekend. I hope this clears it up..
The event is ON for Sunday, gates open at 8am for spectators
Camping IS available for FREE Saturday evening. We suggest you come around 6pm. The field in the back of the property is for camping, unless you have a show car or vendor spot. We will be there around 6pm. Find us near the SEVWA trailer or call /text 919-616-2183 and we can find you and get you where you need to go. We will be collecting Sunday's fees that night as well.
Any questions? Just ask. _________________ Kathy Jacobs

Weather was excellent. Swap was big. There seemed to be a lot of people there, more than usual for the fall event.
For future reference:
The last two times there have been drag events on Saturday, they did not finish racing until 10:00pm. Not an issue if you are camping in the outer field, but if you are a vendor wanting to set up on Sat night, you'll need to wait late into the night till the drag racers leave, as their trailers and set ups are in the vendor area.
This past event, Oct 2016, there was some [expletives deleted] guy in the swap area who thought it would be a wonderful idea to run his large, unenclosed gas powered generator ALL NIGHT Saturday and ALL DAY Sunday, non-stop, until he left at about 3pm Sunday. I heard NUMEROUS complaints about the noise from campers and show attendees. Nobody I spoke with could figure out what he was powering. I couldn't see or tell what he was needing to power for 20+/- hours straight.
Is there a way, Kathy and Keith, that you can "implement" some kind of "quiet time" / no-generator time for future shows? |

Thank you John for bringing up the noise issue at the track during the night.
It did seem excessive and annoying. There was the same issue at the spring show. _________________ Where's Garry |
