Good for him! Any career you can be wrong 80% of the time & still get a fat paycheck is the one to go into, I should've done that.

True.... that's one joke he doesn't find amusing.. BTW. . 
One thing is for certain... the weather is slowy constantly changing.. which keeps the prediction centers on their toes.. the real deal meteorologist take it very seriously..
What's interesting.. my son has shown me over the last few years.. the main stream media broadcaster chooses the forecast they want.. which most times.. is what will bring in the viewers and watchers..
He also states.. in reality accurate predictions cant be more than over 48 sometimes 72 hours out. Over that.. and its throwing weather darts...
If you've ever noticed while watching a local news station and when a meteorologist shifts changes and the next comes on.. the forecast may be different than the last one.. it was a choice of which prediction they (or the station/company) wants...
Its really amazing to see the inside forecasts and predictions that are available to the broadcast meteorologist.
Some are quite accurate.. some are not..
He is dedicated to it..... and certainly still learning..
I always joking say .. I'd be a Tv (was VCR) repair man... how easy it would be to say.. " it would be better off to buy a new one.. that'll be $75 for checking your old one out.. "
I actually like my job.. its can be at times a challenge.. I drink to decompress..

Pre PC days, hurricanes were allegedly named after women because both were unpredictable.
SoFlo was extremely lucky, wobbled to East and passed us by.

Lots of roads closed due to downed trees & flooding & lots debris in the yard, the worst to the east of me, past that pretty uneventful.
