To the Desert Trip / Rockers With Walkers
with Dylan/Rolling Stones/Neil Young/Paul McCartney/Who/Roger Waters .
Round trip around 2500 miles. Flawless performance on the road from the Eurovan Camper straight through.
Met up with lots of VW camper owners, good times all around. Fun to see people's different setups.

Stunning -- and you camp at that spot? This could easily win a certain somebody's annual calendar photo contest. |
Sorry I missed your question earlier, @Itsamoto! No, we didn't camp there -- just hung out for the bulk of the day. There are a few campgrounds fairly nearby though. It's one of many beautiful "vista point" pullouts on Highway 1.
Too funny about the calendar photo contest -- didn't even think about that. Thanks for the kind words. |

Me and the last two girls in Maine. I'm actually workinga conference at Mount Desert Island where smart people buy my stuff and and I have to eat dinner every night with 25-30 year old smart men and women.
Not to mention charging a per Diem for accommodations
It's a tough life but I will persevere

I really love this post, and how it keeps growing. Fun to see how and where different owners enjoy their vehicles. Just wanted to post this to express my appreciation of the posts above and preceding. |

Want to get endless questions and comments? I do every year when we have our big soccer tournament for my boys. I bring Team Eurovan, find a perfect parking spot and then camp out in it waiting for a game. This is just a pic of me sitting in the reverse seat behind the driver seat, table up and drinking coffee waiting for the next game to begin. Cooler is full of nice cold drinks for the kids too.
BTW: That strap that always falls down on the rear door, there's an easy fix. Let it hang down and put one of those round brown felt disks (you can buy at the hardware store) on each side of the plastic piece that holds the strap. It gives it enough friction to hold it up out of the way when the door is open but easy enough to pull it down.
