On a 1969 911T with worn suspension, is it possible to upgrade to the 1974-82 (or so) front Koni struts so that Koni Sport inserts can be used as well as larger brakes? I'd like to do it without having to change wheels.

Also- it appears that there's a break in ball joint part numbers around '72/3 or so. I'm assuming the later strut housings will work OK with the earlier ball joints... is this correct?

Any advice from someone who has done this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to. You might have to change the balljoint to the later style too. If the front suspension is worn install the Elephant replacement bearings on the A arms and toss the rubber crap.
