That's just an assumption, I think (not sure), I saw them, back and front, on another bug once...
So, I want the be sure the owner made them, or there was (is) a manufacturer who made (makes) these... 😉 _________________ VW Karmann Ghia '63

From an engineer's standpoint, these "bumpers" are so poorly designed that they really have no function at all and as such, their beauty is lost to me. I am not saying they should be able to take on a big SUV, but having two flimsy aluminim pipes flopping around the front of the car just to look cool, seems plain ridiculous. The rest of the car is cool, though. _________________ 1973 1303S w sunroof Click to view image

do you think bumpers even do anything on something that low ? maybe if you hit someone driving a go cart. or a kid in a pedal car . unless the bumper is higher than the headlights a bumper is worthless anyway. there not my thing but they look cool !! _________________ 55 deluxe 23 window bus

Each "bumper" half is fixed only at one point. Which means the outer end can be bent forward even by a kid. Whether a bumper works as a bumper is beside the point. If it moves all over the place it is not fit for anything, and in my book, uselessness = ugly. (not counting logos and mascots and other ornaments). The beetle is one of the most utilitarian vehicles ever, why screw it up with redundant and flimsy piping? _________________ 1973 1303S w sunroof Click to view image

Get a life man! 🙄
These bumpers look freakin' awesome! I would mount them on my bug... Didn't ask for an opinion... You find them ugly... You drive a 1303 for cryin' out loud! Nah, my opinion nobody asked or cares about... 😂 _________________ VW Karmann Ghia '63
