Besides hubcaps, rims, roof rack, what else did you do?

That's enough to qualify it as a "custom car".

He can park it next to the Hondas with the spinning wheels, bazooka muffler and rear wing.

BTW... sorry to hear about you're health problem. I might bust balls about your NB, but I wish for your complete recovery.

And if I had a choice to which car it's rather be in during a crash... the NB would be on the top of the list. Wink

This is what I have done besides the caps & roof rack.. a custom two-tone paint job. Took the car to Southernvolksfest in Atlanta (gotta love that Diesel mileage). Brought home first place in New Beetle Modified class.

don't really think I would fit in with the Ricer crowd though. Wink

Glenn and all who care about my health problems,
Thank you.

Aaron

The old style hubcaps looked really sweet on it. Maybe you can do that again.

I'm originally from the Toledo Area (Maumee). In San Francisco now. I don't miss the bitter cold, but Ohio is tops for friendly people.

hehe, Glad you like the look of the centercaps, because I was able to get me another set of steel wheels, and already have the caps mounted on "Growler" my new TDI.

I am refinishing the roof rack over the wintertime and this spring I plan on doing a two-tone similiar to my avatar. Lots of plans for the future of my newest buggy!

How did you get old hubcaps on the new beetle 16" rims?

I don't know how much of a response you'll get, they haven't visited the site in 11 years.

Drill holes in the rims to accept these:
