I have a pair of F&H 15X6 wide five rims dated 1970 and made by F&H.
French and Hecht have been wheel manufacturers before there were cars on the road. They also made rally rims in the 60's and 70's for the major automotive players such as Ford and GM.
A buddy said that there is a chance that a dune buggy company may have put an order in with F&H to make wider rims, but I couldn't find anything on this through typical searches. There are no hub cap clips on these rims.
Has anyone ever come across F& H rims for VW's before?
I am curious what their purpose was.
Thanks,
johnny

Volkswagen isn't the only company to use the 5 x 205 bolt pattern. English Fords, Opel are just a few of the many companies to use it. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

Agreed. i just thought that the European car companies such as those would have their rims built somewhat closer to home. But it is a possibility. |
