Help identifying my engine.

I just bought this engine and in not sure what year it is. I have researched the VIN number but I’m still not sure what the year is. Can someone help me identify my engine?

That is a restamp-- so could be anything- go to technical and work your way thru the models and you will find that number in there somewhere.

I've been looking for 3 days and my eyes are start to get crossed. I was thing that it was a re-stamp but I wasn't sure. I'll keep looking. thanks for the info.

It's probably 36hp.

Year unknown since the number has been restamped and is basically useless now.

You can figure out the year of the case using the info here

Sometimes with a restamped engine they stamped the original engine # on the right side of the generator stand. Of course this would only tell you the year car it came from, not necessarily anything about this engine now.
