I don't want rain on your parade, but you won't be able to drop your bus as much as you want if you only use adjusters in the front. The ball joints will limit your suspension travel. Since you can't flip the spindles you will most likely need dropped spindles. It is good that you are narrowing the beam. You will need the room. Disc brakes and ball joints are a nice combination.
Your welding looks very good. By the time you are done you will an expert! _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

thanks for the advice, i don't understand what do you mean with:
"but you won't be able to drop your bus as much as you want if you only use adjusters in the front"
i buy two adjusyer, one for every tube, do you mean this?
i know the dropped spindles, but i will buy it in the future, for the moment i'm satisfy, any height that I will reach will be fine |

If you want it as low as the pic of it mocked up with the wheels in the wheel wells, you will need at the very least, to add dropped spindles. But if you get everything together without them and you are satisfied with the look then everything is good.
You might want to check out the Bay Window forum for a look at what it takes to slam a balljoint beam. I had a '68 beam with '73 trailing arms, spindles and disc brakes in a '62 DC. I got the lowering bug and kept going down until it wasn't that much fun to drive. It rode pretty nice. But every dip in the road or driveway required my full attention. I sold it before I raised the steering box. But not before I sheared off the back bolts on the box. It did look pretty good though
I dropped it a little more in the back and put the stock bumpers back on. But the front is at a workable height. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

yes i understand now. you are right
before narrow the front beam i put it on the SC, with stock hight and stock suspension.
and than i jack up the rear for level the SC.
And this is the hight before narrow and with out the adjuster, so now i must finish the beam for see the final hight
very cool your DC |

Thanks! It is in Northern France. Keep an eye out for it. The new owner is at a lot of shows. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

Hi volks!
Front beam narrowed
And this is the final front high for the moment, the adjuster is in the half position.
i'm happy for this result, but now i have a question:
what kind of drag link i need to use?
because now i have on the bay window beam.
Ok guy next work i will do my self the offset spring plates for adjust the rear hight. |

Hi guys
some news from my single cab.
These are the body work, than i sandblasted all the body where i had welded.
Than i repaint the body only and the rear of the cab.
my idea is to have a outiside patina style single cab with the original logo
and inside all new
ok now i have to scratch the new outside pait, to return to the doors level
and rust somewhere the single cab.
the engine is ready, new stinger exhaust, new oil , oil filter, new sparks, exc.. ready to fit
i love stinger sound
it's th same for the gearbox, disassmbled and riassembled, with new rubbers, gaskets, new 5x112 drums , new clutch ready to fit
now i have to repaint, some parts like narrow front beam, the arms, the hubs, and other small component, than i'm ready to riassembly
