Hi my 2001 automatic Beetle lurches when I come to a stop any ideas why?

When was the last time the trans was serviced or fluid level checked?

Does it lurch exactly when you stop or just before? Sounds like a poorly executed(on the computer's part) downshift to 1st. Not saying don't check it out but my jetta has done that sporadically for 13,000 miles now.
