| So I had on my 79 SB 1600 FI these cylinder head cover gaskets that were silicon type, and they developed a kink (kept singing Waterloo Sunset), in one it got worse when hot and let out the compression. So now I replaced both with the OE type and all is well again. Anyone else had this problem? Thought I'd let you know. |

Many who do not use cork gaskets have had issues with blow-by and oil leaking out the valve covers. Many posts here.

| Yep, my oil drips have completely stopped now too, and the car is quieter. |

What gaskets are we talking about? Valve cover? What gaskets let out compression?
