Ha! I also own a Toyota Previa Alltrac. Just got me from NYC to Colorado and back for a ski trip. (On 10 or so tanks of gas.) |

Why can't they build a "cab forward" design? The batteries are in the floor. The motors are low and in the drive-line. It seems like this is design is very similar the the gasoline "new bus" that has been proposed by VW over and over again. It seems to me that the front seats are so far back, that the efficiency of the bus lineage is lost. An electric version should make it possible to return to the use of space that made the bus great. _________________ 1988 Westfalia automatic Subaru OBD1

Just got back from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The new bus display was very popular with the crowd. Best part of the vehicle…. It has a small Buddha-like statue on the dash which spins around while elevated about ¼ inch. Probably done with some sort of magnetics. Now THAT I would pay for.

While I don't hate the looks of this I don't love it. The wifey and I are putting serious thought in to putting a deposit down on a Tesla Model 3 though. Now that is a good looking EV. _________________ 2015 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition

Right. The thing on the dash even has pointy ears. It's a damn troll doll. I wonder if VW will color match the hair to your vehicle like this one is. _________________ 2015 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition

It's their VW "Fast" all mellowed out. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Ugh. The only tangible thing that will come over all this hype is another 6 months of:
1.) people texting me "have you seen this?"
2.) people reposting this over and over and over again on my Facebook
3.) multiple threads here started by people with the title "just saw this"
4.) no actual production car. |

I'm not saying it's great. But I do think they're going to build it this time. |

Price will be so sky rocket and only battery only, will be a small market I think. Now if they made a gas or hybrid version that was cheaper for the masses, I would get excited. No way I will be able to afford something $50K to $100K range or whatever this clocks in at in 2022. tj _________________ tj (the Amishman)
