One for the experts this:
I'm rebuilding my engine after having all the tinware painted and the block/heads done. I've just finished cleaning up the Generator and reassembling the fan and fan shroud - all of the manuals and diagrams I've researched advise of an inner and outer fan plate (2x plate sized panels)
I am being quite meticulous, looking to retain as many original parts as possible and have catologed everything and I'm sure I only have the one plate. Is this correct? and in my pic below you can see my assembly order? It all seems to fit OK and you can see the gap which I'm sure is just right.
Oh, It's off a 66 1300 SP 6v bug by the way.
Cheers as always NH

yes you are missing the large outer plate if 12 volt. 6 volt only had the large plate like in your photo. make sure to have minimum .040" clearance between black large plate and fan. _________________ Admin note: Bill Passed away - July, 2017

Cheers for this, I'm 6V so I assume I have all the right pieces. |
