I bought an nice 997 G97/31 C4 transmission.
I would like to install it in my T3 2WD panel van.
I am trying to find a good powerfull engine that bolts to it without a lot of mods...

Any ideas will be great!

That transmission is crying out for an Audi V6 TDI, 4.2L V8 or 2.7 twin turbo V6

Why not the basic 997 flat six? You can make sure the RMS is addressed before you install it. It would simplify everything, I woulkd think. I just drove a 2008 Carrera S with the Tiptronic, it ran awesome.

I'm hoping for a lottery win so I can swap a 996 drivetrain + tiptronic into my Carat.

Chap over here has one. Think he has replaced both the turbos with dustbins, the injectors with 3" drainpipe and a remap from NASA Laughing

Mentally stupidly insanely quick. Apparently it will wheelspin in 4th at 70 when floored.
