For whatever reason I was cruising Tasb's gallery and found these interesting pics. What am I looking at? Never seen anything like this.
Have you figured out what this thing does?

I haven't gotten a definitive answer yet. There are multiple pieces part of which is run off the distributor drive gear. A industrial engine governor and pump of some sort? Parts of it have the VW cog wheel logo while other parts are non cog wheel.
