Does your neighbor have a steering wheel puller you can borrow??
If not, try this.
There are 2- 8mm holes tapped int the fan hub. Useing 2 longish 8mm bolts. and a piece of steel bar that has holes to line up with the 2 in the fan, put a 7/16" deep socket in the hole in the end of the crank, with a short extension. Now, put the bar across, with the 8mm bolts, and slowly start tightening the bolts alternately. As you run out of threads, put a longer extension or stack some 8 mm nuts in the bottom of the hole in the crank, and start over with the bolts.

Or (assuming it's in good enough shape to mess with in the first place) you could sell it to someone who's in need of a T3 engine, buy yourself a proper T1 engine, and save yourself a ton of work. Might even come out a few $ ahead.

If you get the fan off without bending it, I would be interested in getting it from you. Depends on the condition, as to the price.

Yeah, or you could go to your local Car Quest or Autozone and buy or rent a harmonic balancer tool. I got one from my local Car Quest for 10 bucks, and I've used it on many of my projects (both foreign and domestic).

Actually if you just use the longish bolts mentioned earlier and thread them carefully thru the fan hub using the threded holes you can actually push against the fan housing to push off the large fan. be very carefull not to tighten one or the other too tight or you can push thru the housing. Just one turn each bolt evenly till it will come off by hand and your done.
Gary.
