yikes, runs in your base- try a new line of work! You can clear over singlestage but the time-to-wait between the steps is longer. Here's a car I did this very process on.

Spray a test card to check whether your paint and clear is compatible. I hate omni single stage- it is crap compared to PPG's Concept line. My two bits- just because PPG owns the omni line doesn't mean it is going to be the same as the good PPG stuff!! You ALWAYS get what you pay for. If you can't afford high quality there are ways to fake it- but don't expect it with autopaints!!!

I'm with you on the single stage and most definitely with the omni.
Have you sprayed the Sikkens autobase plus? Its actually cheaper and faster than PPG's DBC system.
