I'm getting ready to start tearing into my newly acquired bus to tackle its rust issues. I've got some rust bullet. Ideally, I plan to remove all the rust on the outer body and then prime/fill, etc. However, I assume I may run into areas where getting all the rust out may not be entirely feasible. I read on the rust bullet site that you're supposed to fully be able to paint over it. However, the site doesn't say anything about application of filler. I've search the forums and found nothing. Any one ever done this? Is this just a bad idea?

i was contemplating the same thing and decided for myself that it was a bad idea...no real reason...POR makes a filler (it is pricey compared to traditional fillers, but if you only need a little, it might do in a pinch...
or you could purchase a small sandblaster from harbor freight to attack the rust in any areas that need filler...(that is what i choose to do) _________________ Wish List:

just apply filler as usual. I've had no problems. They have email if you want a more direct answer for support. |
