Hi, wondering if anyone knows of any good places in Central Florida (Orlando or Tampa area) that have a good assortment of VW Bugs that I could go and get parts from. Thanks for your help. Kristen |

I would like to add, that I would be willing to trade (my)metal work for (your)parts in central florida. I am just getting back into VW's so my VW experience is limited, but I have welded in new pans before. I have changed quarter panels and floors on muscle cars, and I have welded in many patch panels to repair rust. I have a mig welder, a tig welder, a plasma cutter and a large sheet metal brake to fabricate parts with. I would be willing to give my labor in exchange for parts I need to fix my bug- like heater channels,a drivers door,a hood, and maybe a decklid. I would like to have a roof section for a future chop top attempt too. Used parts in good shape would be fine as long as they are in great shape. |

Went to the VW 4 Life event in St. Pete yesterday. Asked around and not too many people were aware of any salvage yards. Most people referred me to places which sold new parts. But I want to get in there and pull the original parts myself. I will keep an eye out for any that I find and post them on the Samba. Thanks. |

Most of the yards in the Lakeland area are on Main St, near Combee Rd. There are some U-pull it types there, and I think Webb's has a bus- probably a newer one, thats visible from the road. There is one in Kathleen near me that doesnt really let people into the yard, and theres an old one on 98 N or Duff Rd that doesnt seem to be open, maybe theyve got some good old stuff, I will have to see if anyone is there.
**Edit** - the yard on 98 N has no bugs as of today. |

Thanks for your help. I can see one VW Bug at this junkyard off I believe, Hwy 301 near Tampa. But I unfortunately cant figure out how to get to the place. The shop is right near the 75/I-4 exit ramps. One day when I am not running late for class I will have to stop. Other than that one I havent seen any others. |
