ISP West sells them - they are the guys that sell new parts via eBay - non auction items mostly. I've been seriously thinking about buying a set of these myself, and was just looking around online for them myself the other day, which is why I noticed that ISP West had them.

Are the ones that cip sells the good all rubber ones (logo too) or those cheap crap ones with the plastic logo that goes through the rubber flap?

I saw those too! The ones from Cypress and Greece have no brackets and the ones from France with brackets want $350. There is a set with brackets that look like they were used 50 years ago. Lots of non VW logo ones. Still, I believe the ones from my previous post have brackets, have the look and are available for less than $350 from a known company.

If anyone has bought them, maybe they could chime in on the quality.

Thanks.

I bought a set and they are great. The big problem is...choosing the black or white ones. I finally chose black. The rubber is real and the brackets are sturdy. Should last many years.

So, what is the running thought on where to find decent mud flaps at this time. The ones for sale at CIP have the EMPI logo or they are seconds or something like that. Their description says that they are cosmetically imperfect and in the pics the logo is all blurred out. I found some at Air Cooled Accessories ( http://www.aircooledaccessories.com/VW_Mud_Flaps ) but ordering them from the UK seems like a bit much work. Is there a source for decent VW logo mud flaps here in the US?

In my experience lately it's been a lot harder now, than it was 5, 10, 15 years ago, to get any product with the VW logo unless you're able to find it on eBay or classifieds. VW cracked down on a lot of logo stuff made by third party companies a while back, putting a wrinkle in things for those of us trying to get accessories for classic bugs. I think if you find what you want and the price isn't going to kill you, you may want to buy before they're gone. (Unless the company you found is licensed to make more, but I don't think many are.)

That explains why I found one set that the buyer had to install the "V" on. The "W" came pre-installed but it wasn't all together. I thought it was pretty odd, but that probably gets them around the problems.

Thanks for the input. I'll order a set from Air Cooled Accessories for 30 pounds. That is only about $46. That part isn't bad. I hope that customs and shipping doesn't kill me.
