I was just wondering if there are any other Eagle Scouts out there besides me. I earned mine almost a year ago, and my ceremony is this Wednesday night (It took my scoutmaster a long time to get everything together for it).

I received mine in 1980… I was fifteen. My father kept pushing my brother and me to get our Eagles before we turned sixteen and got our drivers licenses… cause after that, most interest goes in other directions. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |

Only made life, all done for eagle, but family problems never let me finnish. Was ordewr of the arrow second level, and not sure if it is still around, but first one in SC to rcieve silver claw. Really fond memories, when my old scoutmaster died they changed the troop number, not sure why, we were one of the best. I hope they retired it in his memory. |

OA for just the Brotherhood level - went off to school and that was pretty much the end of that...
went to the 1985 jamboree at Fort AP Hill, Va...
never did Philmont, or any formal canoeing, but our troop had a canoe trailer and 8 canoes, so we took a lot of summer trips...

Troop 175, Mansfield NJ....Represent.
Never got higher than Star, didn't care about advancement. I just loved the camping! I was in the OA, and we used to camp every year at Treasure Island in the middle of the Delaware River, where the OA was formed. Pretty cool. Went to Prince Edward Island for the Canadian Jamboree in 1994. That was a phenomenal trip. Became an assistant Scoutmaster at 18. Finally left at 20...too much to do with College and work. Some of the best memories of my life were had in Boy Scouts.

Well, I had my ceremony tonight. That certificate sure will look good on my wall... I'm Order of the Arrow, too. I've been Brotherhood for about 2 years now. I wish I could get my Vigil, but my lodge's meetings are about a 2 hour drive from me, so it would be a lot of hassle to be active. I try to participate as much as possible, though.

Congrats, Daniel. This is a big deal for you. I was in Troop 121 in Los Angeles and got the Eagle in 1966 when I was 16. Was on the OA Dance Team and traveled to Potlatches in the Southwest. Did Philmont 1 time, but we regularly did the John Muir Trail in the Sierras during the summer. Our Patrol won the LA Area Council Camporee in 1965. Wow, great memories. Scouting was one of the many "Best Things" in my life. It set the stage for the other successes that followed. Make the most of what you have learned. Good job. I got mine back in 2002 with two other guys that went all the way through with me. I've also been to the 97 and 01 jamborees, both times as a scout. Those were really fun. Also in the OA. _________________ T4 Conversion
