hello,i need help on removing the 2 sides ,and rear window?is there anyway that i can save the rubber,this is a 71 fasty the sides aren't pop outs. thanks

I would think if you pulled out the lock stripe (I think it has that for the chrome moulding) then get a buddy on the outside of the window, you get inside and push it out with your feet real slow. Work your way around the window. I think it will work with the rear window also. But see if anyone agrees or has another idea before you try. Or try posting this in the Type 3 section.

I'd just cut out the rubber and discard it. Buying replacement rubber will be easy & cheaper than having to find & buy new glass. You just may end up cracking it trying to save the old weatherstripping.

I agree with 1227VW. It is also going to be really stiff if you do get it out in one piece and will probally leak.

i would say cut the rubber. they aren't expensive and fairly easy to come by (at least i didn't have problems) i know the windshield is pretty easy to put back in just using some nylon "twine" that is fairly thick and just working it around
