rechroming door handles

want to have my door handles rechromed.do i need to take them apart?or can they be chromed with them together? also where is a good place to have them done?

yes you need to disassemble them completely. Not too tough to do but depends on the year of your car. Often cheaper to buy replacement than to have them rechromed.

if the handles have many deep pits, they may not be able to be saved. The pot metal the handles are made of is not the best stuff to chrome and some times the chrome wont go on very nice. good luck.
