I remember seeing it on Ebay Germany. I thought it was more recent, more like a year ago if I recall correctly. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

yes, this is the one that was sold last year on ebay, around october-november 2009... together with many other stuff from the Westfalia Museum, a few trailers and a nice little caravan, a few baywindows and '80s Westfalia's, a Mercedes and a very nice DKW camper (the DKW didn't sell on Ebay, starting price was 39500 euro I think!!)
...in the ebay-add, they said this red barndoor had only about 50 kilometers from new... since restoration might be better! I guess the people that where responsable for the sales, just had a look on the speedo... questions on the cars and caravan stayed unanswered... they also used this red Westy in a brochure, togheter with a T4 California.

That pic of the Westfalia museum Camping-Box is not that old. Definitely not a "vintage" photo. I found that image at this web address:
http://www.roadhaus.com/bulliposter.html
Scroll down to the Photos-High Res/Wallpaper Section. That photo shoot could have been done for the 60 years event in Hannover, to be included in the book mentioned on that website. Or maybe the license plate is giving away that it was done in 2000. Perhaps for the 50 years of production celebration. Hannover plate with VW 2000? _________________ Looking for these items for my June '53 kombi:

No doubt, upon further inspection I noticed those much later wiper shafts and bases that didn't come along till many years later like 1965-1967. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage
