That looks like a 1952 to me as it has piano hinge vents.

Also it could be the December 52 I owned after BBT restored it.

The Dove Blue Barndoor with the two windows grafted in and the westfalia museum campingbox interior.

Now owned by Marcus in Germany.

I'll try and find a pic of it.

I'm guessing later looks like it has a lower mirror arm and rear bumper I think is just hard to tell on the wing window

did not see much in the "einzelgenehmigungsbescheid". These are issued when a vehicle is imported to austria. (wikipedia)

says built in 54, issued in 63

The quarter light looks like 53 onwards type. You can just make out that it has a radius in the bottom left corner

Came across this while watching an interview with Norman Dewis, test driver for Jaguar. He set a speed record in the XK120 in 1953 at Jabbeke Belgium.

wow, 172mph is quick even for a XK120. almost 3 times the speed of the BD Smile

...I think this was posted a while ago, or maybe it was on FB.... here's the same belgian Bus, also in a car rallye, the Monte Carlo 1954, on a control post in Brussels, 1954... Bus was from a sports newspaper.

it absolutely had a bubble top, and it has been restored recently with bubble top. nice write up about it
