Hello every one! I did a search on early original hub caps. My question is how to tell the defferance in a good used original and a reproduction (used) at the swap meets? Is it in weight or stamping or finish? What exactly do I look for ? Thanks! Jim Conner Confused

I can always tell from the weight. There is a big difference between repro and OG.

Weight.

Originals have little nubs on the outside lip. I believe there are 3.

There is four flattened areas along the inside ridge that the repro don't have, but weight is the real test.

Right on, After checking a known original I do find three little nubs on the out side edge. This will make it easy to find good OG. Thanks Jim Conner
