never thought they were a Type 3 -- they are built on a Ghia pan... upright motor, none of it is from a Type 3... _________________ póg mo thóin

I have no clue. I know they have a bus window, too. Maybe it was the engine? I thought it was pancake, not upright. They are a type 147. |

It is because of the design of the front end. I think they have a Type 3 VIN code too, but don't quote me on that. They are sort of the 'AMC' (All Motors Combined) of Volkswagen if you ask me. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I am quoting you, but not about the VIN -- the hood and fenders are unique to the Fridolin and are not interchangeble with a Type 3... _________________ póg mo thóin

The engine is the same upright as in a bug/ghia/bus/thing. _________________ OGST

That's why I said "the design of". _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I think Marvin mentioned he was selling one of his, about $25-30K, but don't quote me on that price. This one I believe, but I don't think it's on burners anymore.
