Does anyone know of any good sites or books about auto collision repair? I tried to search for it, but it turns out to be particulary hard to formulate a good Google search query for it, because anything that contains "auto collision repair" will bring up 100's of sites about State Farm and the like, instead of how-to's.

The most the restoration book I have has to say about collision repair is to avoid buying one that needs it. While it would be best to avoid starting a project on a car that's been in a collision, given the age of most of these cars I imagine there are many that have been in collisions, and in some cases, such as with my 71SB, you might not find out until you start that it was in one and the damage covered up, if the P.O. isn't honest about it.

If you are talking about learning to repair dents, here is an article with some information:

These web sites have forums and the people there are extremely helpful.

www.autobodystore.com
www.paintucation.com

The paintucation videos are pretty good but I didn't care for the autobodystore video. Some like it though.
