They didn't come with a radio stock, it was still a option in '63, I might be wrong but I am 90% sure you would need a block off plate, if you didnt have the radio option. |

A sapphire I or II would be period correct for a 63, The Sapphire II is an AM/FM. |

My 63 doesn't have a radio and there is indeed a block-off plate. |

Right. And its funny, A radio back in the day was a $20 option and today to find the radio, is the same price/cheaper then the block off plates! I got a block off plate in my 67 too. I think '68 was the first year they went stock, but again, don't quote me. |

Perhaps the block off plate and a CD in the glove box is the best choice...
Thank you for the feedback |

Thats exactly what I am running on my '67. Can't beat it. Along with four pioneer speakers, two in the kick panels and 2 in the rear luggage area. |

The radio in my 63 is a Sapphire I by Bendix. The by Bendix is on the front of the radio under the Sapphire. |

Don't you forget we're talking about a German car. So how can you put an American brand in it. Period correct would be a sixties Blaupunkt from Germany too. Pick your model choice : Frankfurt, Essen, Emden or Bremen and so on. There are no better ones and they have a very nice look.
A Blaupunkt addict
