|
|
Hello!
My guess is that this is a newbie question that's been answered a thousand times before, but are the "Rolls Royce" style of front hoods still made someplace?
They were very popular in the '70's, but seem to have fallen out of favor. Any explanations as to why? Are they just a bit too fake? I have to admit, I still like that look!
Thanks,
Claire |

Ahhhhh, one of my guilty pleasures... although I'm more partial to the Lincoln hoods. No, they're not reproduced anymore, but you usually see one pop up every month or two for 50-100 bucks. Expect to see a crust-speed drag car on the scene in the next couple of years sporting this exotica.
Simply beautiful.... |

Surfing through e-bay checking out the ads when I saw this one. Then I saw the post mentioning the Rolls-Royce style hoods. It says this is a 40 Ford style front hood. Check it out.

Here's my friends car. . . it was built in denver by his step dad . . and is in denver getting restored (due to a car-b-que) I don't recall what the style of front end is on this car but I think that his step dad still has the molds for this kit. . . the car is a '69 Vert, with woody sides. . .
here's some more pics of the car
