I´m replacing my squareback side window seals. Had no problem with the pop out windows. But with the rear side windows I´m having big time trouble to install the molding. I got told that these seals are made for the aluminium molding. Does anybody know if that is correct???

The trick is to put in the moulding BEFORE You reinstall the windows... Otherwise it's going to bend, dent and generally be impossible to install.

If there is a groove in the outer face of the seal, you got the right one.

It took me 2 hours/window to do what you're doing, and I had the wife to help. (That may have been the problem. Rolling Eyes )

Thanks for the note. Proberly you are right, since I have only two hands and the other two out of town for a while, I will put them in the sun first and use tons of lube to do the job. Any special lube I should use???

I've used Zmol rubber dressing, soap and silicone lube. All worked well. I've heard recently that liquid soaps may contain salt wich could lead to corrosion of the body and aluminum. I don't know if it's true but I stopped using it.
