Can you help with some info

We started a project almost a year ago of building a VW Trike for a disable and member of our Veterans Post, We have had alot of help from some local BTW members As well as some local people, Such as a local welding Shop Supplyed all the pipe and labor and build a frame using a 73 VW autostick With a Rebuild 1600cc engine that a local car dealer donated for parts we need to build the Trike , Our veterans post has sold raffel tickets to raise the money for the items that where not donated. The Trike we hope to start more people that have the desire to ride but unable to handle 2 wheelers help them get the desire to get back in to riding the open road again. The trike we have build For a 20 year rider Till he got hurt and has been unable to ride sence then But with the help of alot of giving people and the support of our Veterans Post We have build a trike with ramps that a person in a wheelchair can let down with the push of a button roll up lock their chair down fold up the ramps and will be able to ride again .When we started this project we knew nothing about VW,and Trikes but have learn everything the hard way. What we need to know is can anyone tell us is do anyone make some type of a convert kit than a some other Auto Trans can be converted to work with a type 1 VW engine . The autostick we started out with we found to be no good so we were told to find a type 3 auto trans "Good Luck" they are as hard to come by as a working autostick , If you know of anyone with a type 3 or a working autostick or even anyother Auto trans that we can convet to work with this trike PLEASE have them contact us , We don't have alot of money to spend But if it works and we can use it to get this trike to the Bro we started building it for while he's still able to ride. He is 62 Years old and know all about the project that we are building for him, Help us help others and I hope alot of others will do what we are doing. It makes me sick to see all these shows on TV about fixing up 200,000 Homes for people that can afford to pay to have it done as well as rebuilding cars worth 30 to 40k dollars for the same type of people. Why can't they do these type of shows for people that can hardle afford to put gas in what they are driving and for people that owns homes that can't afford to pay their light bill or put fod on the table , anyway I'll let me off this chair before someone pushs me out. A T3 auto will not fit in place of an autostick if you used the stock VW rear suspension out of a bug. The trans will not fit between the frame horns.
